An Extremely Rare Officer's First Pattern Schapska Of The 19th Lancers Circa 1816 The black leather skull covered with gold herringbone and blue lace, the wide trencher top of correct white cloth and panels, large gilt bullion plume-boss with 'GR' cypher on a red velvet backing, turned up rear peak of black patent leather with gold lace trim, velvet-lined graduated gilt-metal chinscales (one detached) on large quatrefoil supports each centred on a flower-head shaped boss, leather sweatband and silk trim lining (frontal plate missing), and in fine condition 10Âľ in. high, the top 14 in. wide Footnotes: For a related example with frontal plate see Olympia Auctions, Olympia, 8 December 2021, lot 202 For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com For further information about this lot please visit the lot listing
